ECL Amylase™

Enzyme and Microbial Cleaning Concentrate Base

Formula: Liquid

Class: Enzyme

ECL1000™ is a high efficiency amylase enzyme produced by non-pathogenic bacteria. ECL1000™ breaks starch into smaller units composed of glucose (e.g., dextrin) or other low molecular weight sugars. The application of α-amylase is widely based on the process called liquefaction, when starch viscosity in the presence of α-amylase drops rapidly, resulting in starch gelatinization. ECL1000™ is highly efficient, leading to its use in a variety of different activities ranging from beverage and ethanol production to the removal of starch stains from laundry.

Features & Benefits

Aids in the breakdown of starch into smaller molecules
Helps convert starch to fermentable sugars

Beverage and brewing processes
Ethanol and biofuel production
Food and starch processing operations
Laundry and textile stain removal formulations
Industrial cleaning and processing applications requiring starch breakdown

Key Markets:

Chemical Manufacturing, HI&I Cleaning & Formulating

These are biological building blocks — spore blends, biosurfactants, enzymes, nutrients, and stimulants — designed for formulators (e.g., manufacturers of cleaners, waste-treatment products) to incorporate into their own products.
The microorganisms and enzymes in the concentrates help break down organic contaminants, liquefy waste, and degrade odor-causing compounds.

There are specialized concentrates for different challenges: for instance, ones that digest fats/oils/hydrocarbons (e.g., petrochemical-related), or those targeting starches, proteins, and more general organic waste or odor sources.

Yes — many concentrates are designed to be diluted to create a ready-to-use (RTU) product. You can also add your own fragrance, colorants, or other formulation ingredients.
Because they’re concentrated and biologically active, only a small amount is needed, making them economical. They also improve cleaning or waste-degrading power, reducing reliance on harsher chemicals.
Yes. Bionetix uses non-pathogenic, naturally occurring microorganisms.
Absolutely — Bionetix offers technical expertise to help develop custom formulations using their concentrates.
