BCP95™ is a bioaugmentation product formulated for the biological degradation of phenols and related aromatic compounds in industrial wastewater systems. It contains specialized microorganisms capable of metabolizing compounds such as phenol, cumene, catechol, and cresol, which are often inhibitory to conventional biological treatment. BCP95™ improves biodegradability of aromatic contaminants, supports stable biological performance, and enhances treatment efficiency in wastewater streams containing persistent or toxic organic compounds.

What does Bionetix offer for wastewater and industrial waste treatment?
They provide bioaugmentation products (microbes + nutrients) that help wastewater treatment plants, industrial facilities, and grease traps degrade organic pollutants, reduce sludge, and manage odors.
Why do I need to add microorganisms? Don’t treatment plants already have bacteria?
Yes, but in many cases, the native microbial population can’t keep up with surges in waste, shock loads, cold temperatures, or imbalances. Supplementing with specialized microbes helps restore balance, maintain efficiency, and control odors.
What kinds of waste can Bionetix treat?
Their products can target fats, oils, grease (FOG), proteins, carbohydrates, industrial wastewater, municipal sewage, sludge, and even certain chemical contaminants.
How are these products applied in a treatment plant?
Typically they are added to secondary treatment (or other stages) as a “shock dose” to correct upsets, or as a regular maintenance dose to sustain microbial activity and reduce sludge buildup.
Can these microbes work in cold temperatures?
Yes — Bionetix offers strains that are adapted to tolerate lower temperatures, helping maintain performance during cold-weather operations.
Is there a specific Bionetix product for anaerobic digesters?
Yes — for example, BCP12 is a blend of bacteria, enzymes, and nutrients designed for sludge digestion in anaerobic digesters; it can reduce sludge mass, improve biogas production, and control odors.
Are these treatments compliant with environmental regulations?
Because the products are biological (not synthetic chemicals), they are generally more acceptable in environmentally sensitive contexts. That said, compliance depends on specific discharge limits and regulatory frameworks — Bionetix can work with technical teams to develop appropriate treatment plans.
Key Features:
Helps plants recover from toxic shocks caused by phenol and related compounds
Prevents poor removal efficiencies, disrupted flocculation, or general plant upsets that result from variable phenolic loadings
Reduces the inhibitory effects of phenol by increasing the growth rates and viability of phenol-degrading biomass
Degrades various halo-substituted aromatics such as bromophenols and chlorophenols
